OBSBOT Talent 2 4K Live Streaming Studio

Standalone video switcher with HDMI USB and NDI connectivity

The OBSBOT Talent 2 is a standalone 4K live streaming studio and video switcher for multi camera productions. It combines switching, H.264/H.265 encoding, recording, monitoring and compatible OBSBOT camera control in one portable device. Connect HDMI cameras, USB sources and IP streams to produce a live programme without a separate production computer.

According to the manufacturer, OBSBOT Talent 2 supports up to 16 mixed video sources and live output at up to 4K at 60 fps. Up to four selected video sources can be recorded separately. The device has a 7 inch AMOLED touchscreen and 128 GB of internal storage. Available capacity is lower after system and application storage. SCHNITTPUNKT distributes OBSBOT products.

Connect HDMI USB and IP video sources

The manufacturer specifies up to 16 mixed video sources: four HDMI inputs, two USB sources and up to ten IP streams. Supported input protocols include NDI, SRT, RTSP and RTMP. Source resolution, frame rate, codec and connection must be compatible with Talent 2. This source count does not mean that all 16 sources can operate at 4K simultaneously.

HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 accept signals up to 4K at 60 fps. HDMI 3 and HDMI 4 accept signals up to 1080p at 60 fps. This distinction helps you assign your highest resolution sources to the appropriate inputs.

Stream in 4K with landscape and portrait formats

Talent 2 supports live output at up to 4K at 60 fps and productions in 16:9 landscape or 9:16 portrait format. H.264 and H.265 encoding are supported. Available resolutions, frame rates and codecs depend on the selected workflow and destination platform. The device supports streaming to up to four destinations simultaneously, subject to compatible settings and sufficient network bandwidth.

Landscape and portrait formats allow the device to be used for presentations, interviews and vertical social content. Supported apps can be used on the device. App availability, account requirements and platform functions depend on the relevant provider, region and installed software version.

Control OBSBOT cameras and record separate sources

Control compatible OBSBOT Tail Series cameras directly from Talent 2. Adjust pan, tilt and zoom, operate AI tracking and recall preset positions from the production interface.

Automatic switching supports sequential, random and Video Follows Audio modes. Audio triggered switching requires the relevant sources and switching rules to be configured. ISO recording supports up to four selected sources; available recording settings depend on the production configuration and storage medium.

Portable live production with Ethernet Wi Fi and battery power

The 7 inch AMOLED touchscreen has a manufacturer specified brightness of 800 nits. Network options include 2.5G Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 and cellular connectivity through the SIM card slot. Cellular use requires a compatible SIM card, suitable mobile service and network coverage. Actual streaming performance depends on the connection and selected settings.

Talent 2 has two slots for compatible 7.4 V NP-F battery packs. Batteries are not included. Hot swapping requires the device to remain powered by another suitable power source during the exchange. A power adapter with a screw locking connector is supplied. Install the current firmware before first use and follow the manufacturer instructions.
